Questions Guests Ask
Is it cheaper to book direct than on Airbnb?
Yes, by roughly 14-16%. The nightly rates here are the same ones on our Airbnb listing — there is simply no platform service fee added on top. Low season starts at MX$1,700 a night, and the same 15% discount from 7 nights and 50% from 28 nights applies either way. Cleaning is MX$1,000 per stay.
How many people does the apartment sleep?
Four. There are two bedrooms — one with a king bed, one with two single beds — and two full bathrooms, so two couples or a family of four each get their own room and their own bathroom.
Where in Tulum is the apartment?
On Calle Cabah in Aldea Zama, the planned neighbourhood between Tulum town and the beach road. Tulum beach is 2.5 km away, the beach clubs about 10 minutes by bike, Gran Cenote a 10-minute drive and the Mayan ruins about 12. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Cancún airport is roughly a two-hour drive.
Is the pool private or shared?
Shared. It is the pool for the whole complex — 24 apartments behind a gate with 24-hour security — set in a planted garden with palapas and loungers. The apartment itself is entirely yours, including its own terrace.
What is included in the apartment?
Air conditioning in every room with individual controls, high-speed WiFi, a smart TV with the streaming apps, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer inside the apartment, fresh linen and towels, and a private parking space.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in with a door code, so you can arrive at any hour — useful given how many flights into Cancún land late. There is a RING camera at the door. Karla and Max host directly and are reachable throughout your stay.
What is the minimum stay?
2 nights, the same minimum as the Airbnb listing. Longer stays get cheaper: 15% off from 7 nights and 50% off from 28, which is what most of our winter guests book.
Can I bring a pet?
One pet is welcome — the same as on our Airbnb listing. Tell us in your booking request so we know to expect them. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment.
When is the cheapest time to visit Tulum?
Between mid-April and the end of October, when nightly rates here are at their lowest. It is hotter and wetter, and sargassum can reach the beach, but the cenotes and ruins are quiet and the town is not full. Our low season guide goes through what to expect month by month.
